The History
Leymus Genomics was established in 2017 in Copenhagen. Our purpose is to offer genomic products of the highest quality, with fast, efficient, intuitive and innovative solutions, as well as offer Europe's finest analysis service and support of samples and equipment. This ranges from DNA purification to PCR and NGS (Next Generation Sequencing), wetlab products and data storage. We believe that the solutions must be found through continuous communication between our employees and partners who have worked in the genomic equipment industry and stay up to date with skilled researchers on an ongoing basis. We are in constant dialogue with researchers to know which technologies best suit which situations and to know exactly which partners we need to contact in order to offer the best solution for you.
We provide products and services to Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Germany*.
In 2020, we started offering Corona testing at work to ensure the safety of employees and companies. We did this in collaboration with leading virus doctors, nurses and molecular biologists to ensure an extra high level of professionalism and quality.
Mission
Our aim is to deliver the best genomic tools for NGS. Our services include data storage, advice from scientists and doctors about the best match to genomic tools, and in addition to this we have partnered with a service lab to run your samples when this is the best solution. We aim to give a comprehensive overview of products and technologies from our suppliers in the genomic analysis industry and to be a reliable knowledge partner.
Purpose and Philosophy
Our products and expertise lie with technologies related to Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). We offer service and storage of large amounts of data within NGS. In addition, we strive to help you find the best solutions for your particular project. If you need help with sequencing, processing samples or data storage, Leymus Genomics is available.
If we are not able to solve your problem ourselves, we will work hard to find the very partner who can. Our partners are thus able to run large projects that may be too large or complex to be driven themselves or how much specialized equipment or expertise is needed.
We represent a selection of companies that are the best in their field. They most often provide unique approaches and methods, but most of all, they deliver the best quality in their field.
All our products come with full customer support, both from us, our researchers, our scientific advisors and our suppliers. We strive to provide fast and professional service and feedback, while being easy and flexible to work with. Although we aim to offer the best solution, we are not left to propose other solutions if ours is not satisfactory. We are happy to accept feedback.
Our core area focuses on NGS technologies and workflows. We are therefore very interested in learning new knowledge about, for example, other NGS and sequencing platforms and your experience with them.
If we represent other companies or interests, we are always open about it. Therefore, we never represent any financial interests other than those stated on the website. Companies we represent have been carefully selected based on their quality of their products and their reputation. We hope that their innovative solutions can help us provide you with the best service and flexibility. In addition, we gather the researchers so that we can provide you with the best possible service.

At Leymus Genomics
We strive to offer independent advice, where the right solution is the goal and our criteria for success. We will always make it clear when we represents another company.
We are updated on the leading NGS platforms and technologies: PacBio, Illumina, IonTorrent, Qiagen, Oxford Nanopore, etc.
We deliver the best niche products in the class – or we can get to the best product for the job.
Management
Leymus Genomics is founded by Rasmus Brøndum, who also has the role of CEO.
Rasmus has worked in the genomic tools and diagnostics industry since 2005. Originally at the small reagent company Fermentas, followed by a job at Thermo Fischer Scientific and Illumina - the world's largest supplier of PCR, qPCR and NGS equipment. Most recently, Rasmus has had a genomic and diagnostic role as Director at Roche Molecular Diagnostics. He has an MSc in Biology and an MBA (HD) in International Business. His passion has always been to help science by offering the best possible diagnostic and analytical solutions. Rasmus has worked both in small academic laboratory companies and at some of the world's largest genomic laboratories. He has further experience from clinical laboratories, biobanks, agro-genomics, and pharmaceutical companies.

Scientific Advisory Board
In order to ensure the optimal guidance on genomics technology Leymus Genomics is establishing an advisory board. The board will consist of distinguished scientists who are all working with different tools and projects in the Genomic industry.
The focus area is NGS and action of NGS data.
PhD, Morten Rasmussen
Morten has more than 10 years of experience working with Next Generation Sequencing (454, Illumina, PacBio, 10X genomics among others). A lot of his work has focused on ancient DNA by highly degraded, low-input samples. During his PhD, he led the first ancient human genome project. As the manager of a sequencing core he encountered a highly diverse set of problems and helped solve challenges related to all aspects of NGS. He has published more than 50 papers, 15 of which are in Nature or Science. Morten is a Postdoctoral fellow at Dept. of Genetics, Stanford University.
